Mable Peabody's Beaty Parlor and Chainsaw Repair, a gay bar that was open for nearly 40 years in Denton, has not reopened since its rumored last night in business over Labor Day Weekend. The bar was a longtime refuge for the LGBTQ community and frequently held drag shows, comedy performances and other events at their space, 1125 E. University Dr.

Driving home from work this week, I saw a stylized bumper sticker that said "Salt Life." You've probably seen it, too. It made me groan, and I was curious what other bumper stickers annoyed people, so I posed the question to Facebook.
