UNT adding advanced data degrees
Based on local industry demand for data analysts, the University of North Texas is ready to provide the training and expertise in big data with three new master's degree programs. In a meeting Friday, the UNT Board of Regents unanimously approved the three programs — digital communication analytics, data science and advanced data analytics.

Jack Bell, new owner of Wells Fargo tower, has big plans for the property
Local investor and developer Jack Bell now owns the Wells Fargo tower on the southeast corner of South Locust Street and East Hickory Street after two years of negotiations with the bank. Bell, who would not disclose how much he paid for the building and surrounding property, has spent the past two years dreaming up a plan for his company, Jack Bell Properties, to update and change the area surrounding the eight-story tower.
Briefly: North Central Texas College
An estimated 610 students graduated from North Central Texas College this spring, with almost 300 participating in graduation ceremonies earlier this month.
Nathan Conard, of Denton, was awarded the President' Distinguished Scholarship to Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. He will get a total of $28,000 over four years, starting when he enters as a freshman this fall.
