Birth date and place: Oct.18; Muskegon, Mich.

Family: wife, Doryce.

The one thing I enjoy most about my work is: creativity.

My business philosophy is: Always try to give my clients more than they are expecting.

If I could, I’d be a: really good drummer.

I’m so sick of: political ads and rhetoric from both parties.

My hobbies are: cycling, weight training, table tennis, drumming and birding.

I wish I knew how to: slow down time … sometimes.

My worst habit is: procrastination.

Nobody knows I: watch (some) sappy movies on Lifetime.

The person I most admire is: my wife, Doryce.

My guilty pleasure is: ice cream, what else could it be?

I drive a: Honda Pilot.

I’d like to be driving a: Honda Pilot that gets 40 mpg.

My favorite restaurant is: Too many good ones to choose just one.

I’m happiest when: I’ve just photographed (well) the rare bird I have been trying to capture for a long time.

If I won the lottery, here’s what I’d do just for me: Try to help as many people as possible who are less fortunate than myself.

If I could change one thing about Denton, it would be: to slow down and reduce the traffic on our street (historic district of West Oak) while improving parking.

When I retire, I plan to: travel more with my wife, kids and grandkids (yes, I’m a grandpa now).

Community activities: Denton Chamber of Commerce member; Leadership Denton class of 1989; past chairman of the Denton Parks and Recreation Board, 1990-96; participant in art exhibitions and shows around town; proponent of preserving and encouraging natural spaces in our city parks.
