The Buckle Inc., a leading retailer of medium to better-priced casual apparel, footwear and accessories for fashion-conscious young men and women, recently opened its doors at Golden Triangle Mall in Denton.

The company currently operates more than 450 stores in 43 states, under the names Buckle and The Buckle.

The Denton store, located in the Sears wing of the mall at Loop 288 and Interstate 35E, offers a wide assortment of clothing, including jeans for all sizes. Officials at the store indicate free tailoring is available.

Buckle joins several new stores at Golden Triangle Mall, including CGX Console Game Exchange, which offers a wide assortment of games for consoles from the ’70s to current systems. The store also offers exchange opportunities for games.

Body Central opened in early October, bringing an assortment of tops, dresses, bottoms, jewelry, accessories and shoes. As of June 29, Body Central operated 286 stores located in fashion retail venues across 28 states in the South, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest, according to its website.

In late November, Charlotte Russe is expected to open its doors just in time for the holiday rush, mall officials say. Named after a French dessert, Charlotte Russe began its journey in 1975 with the first store opening in Carlsbad, Calif. Putting a spotlight on women in their teens and early 20s, the store offers access to major fashion trends at value-oriented prices, according to the company’s website. In the past few decades, the mall-based chain has grown from 35 stores in Southern California to more than 500 stores across the United States and Puerto Rico.

Body Central, and soon Charlotte Russe, are located in the Sears wing of the mall, which is currently under construction as part of ongoing renovations both inside and outside of the longtime Denton shopping destination.
