Name: Mardi Allen

Occupation: author of I’ll Start on Monday, Overcoming Your Weight Loss Excuses!

Birth date and place: Feb. 13; Akron, Ohio

Family: brother, Jeff Erhard (lives in Ohio).

The one thing I enjoy most about my work is: helping people transform their lives.

My business philosophy is: change the way you think, the words you speak, and you will change your life.

If I could, I’d be a: successful NFL quarterback or a race car driver.

I’m so sick of: I concentrate on the positive in life; so instead of being sick of something I focus on the good in people.

The four guests at my fantasy dinner party would be: My late husband, my mother, my father and my great aunt.

My hobbies are: football, snow skiing, movies, self-development, spending time with friends and traveling. My goal is to visit all 50 states and I only have two to go — Hawaii and Alaska.

The last book I read was: Hardheaded and Softhearted: Lessons from the Boardroom to the Break Room by Rick Belluzzo and Krish Dhanam.

I wish I knew how to: ballroom dance.

My worst habit is: riding the clutch in my car.

Nobody knows I: love to clean the house, do laundry and take the trash out.

The person I most admire is: my mother.

My guilty pleasure is: fried chicken.

I drive a: Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary.

I’d like to be driving a: 2014 Corvette Stingray, although I love my Z.

My favorite restaurant is: The Capital Grille.

I’m happiest when: I have a peaceful mind.

I regret: not fully understanding how short life is and appreciating every moment.

If I won the lottery, here’s what I’d do just for me: take my family and friends on a fabulous trip.

When I retire, I plan to: stay very active.
