Local hospitals ranked in national safety survey
Medical City Denton, formerly Denton Regional Medical Center, earned an "A" rating for hospital safety from the Leapfrog Group, while Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton received a "C."
The annual Hospital Safety Grade report from Leapfrog looks at how well hospitals reduce errors, infections and incidents that can hurt patients. Medical City Denton was one of 823 hospitals nationwide to receive the top rating.
To grade hospitals, Leapfrog Group looks at 30 safety measures, and grades are calculated based on patient safety experts.
