Social platform for outdoor enthusiasts launches

Upventur, a social startup geared toward those interested in an active lifestyle, launched last week.

The startup, which recently moved from Frisco into a 4,000-square-foot space at the Railyard development in downtown Denton, allows users to follow industry experts, research activities, book trips and more.

"We wanted to create a place for people who love the outdoors to come together, discover new experiences, and get out from behind their computers and have real adventures," said CEO and co-founder Craig Pettigrew said in a press release.

Visit www.upventur.com for more information on the company. Upventur also has a mobile app available for download on the Google Play store.
