9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Fall Garden Fest sponsored by the Denton County Master Gardener Association on the campus of Denton Bible Church, at the corner of Mingo Road and Nottingham Drive. Event includes workshops, demonstrations, exhibits, vendors and children’s activities. Free. Call 940-394-2883.

10 a.m. — Aubrey Peanut Festival at the festival grounds, 301 S. Main St. in downtown Aubrey. Parade lineup starts at 8 a.m., and the parade begins at 10 a.m. Festival also includes a horseshoe tournament, a peanut butter sandwich eating contest, a peanut spitting contest and other activities.
