Regents approve new mission statement
The North Central Texas College Board of Regents approved a new mission statement during a regular meeting Monday.
The statement now reads: “North Central Texas College is dedicated to student success and institutional excellence.” Other parts of the previous mission statement were moved into a purpose statement.
The board also heard a report from Celia Williamson, vice provost for transfer articulation at the University of North Texas. Williamson reported on efforts to ensure success for transfer students. NCTC and UNT are developing pathways to provide a recommended set of courses that will take a student through a specific NCTC associate’s degree and into and through a specific UNT degree.
NCTC President Eddie Hadlock updated regents on construction projects. Renovation was done over winter break at the Corinth and Flower Mound campuses to make certain offices were more student-friendly.
