Student presents at academic conference

Mary Daub of Corinth recently presented her research on emerging technologies in hospitality management at the Collin College Undergraduate Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference.

In the research, she looked at how social media and telecommunications are changing how people interact with each other and how this presents opportunities and challenges for hospitality management.

She is currently a member of the NCTC Honors program, and will transfer to the University of North Texas Honor College in the fall.

Two students head to equestrian finals

NCTC students Kodi Anderson and Katlyn Kuhatschek will compete this weekend at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championships.

This will be Anderson’s second straight year to qualify for nationals. She will compete in individual reining and individual open horsemanship. Last year, she finished fifth in the nation in open horsemanship.

For Kuhatschek, this will be her first time competing at a national competition. She is the first English team rider from NCTC to ever qualify for the competition.
