UNT Equity and Diversity Conference to feature keynote speaker Rosa Clemente
Sponsored by UNT's Division of Institutional Equity and Diversity, the conference will offer workshops aimed to broaden and deepen perspectives of the participants throughout the day, addressing topics such as coalition building, Minority Serving Institution considerations, organizational change and citizenship and immigration.
TWU chemistry program earns national recognition
For "graduating chemists with civic lenses" and addressing such social issues as sustainability, water quality and safety, TWU has been singled out for special recognition by the Association of American Colleges and Universities as a model for how to make civic learning and democratic engagement an expectation for all students who major in a given discipline.
Two TWU faculty members ready to ‘go global’ with national grant
The grant is part of an initiative to support and enrich humanities education and scholarship at minority-serving institutions. Gretchen Busl, Ph. D. , and Ashley Bender, Ph. D. , both assistant professors in the TWU Department of English, Speech and Foreign Languages, will serve as co-directors of the "Building Global Perspectives" project.

Denton — Phoebe Angaye, Elizabeth Jolly and Zsuzsa Ratliff-Johnson. — Kennedy Synclaire Richey of Aubrey has been named to the president's honor roll at the University of Central Oklahoma for maintaining a 4. 0 grade-point average during the 2017 fall semester.
UNT names dean for College of Health and Public Service
Neale R. Chumbler, dean of the College of Health and Human Services at Western Kentucky University, has been named the new dean of the University of North Texas' College of Health and Public Service. His appointment will begin July 1, according to a news release.
