During the upcoming International City/County Management Association conference, UNT professor Robert L. Bland will become an honorary member of the group.
Bland, an endowed professor of local government, will be recognized at the conference on Oct. 22 in San Antonio. The recognition is given to one person who isn't in local government management but has contributed to the improvement of local government. The association is designed to give professional training and development to city, town and county management officials across the globe.
Bland has studied and taught local government management since he joined UNT in 1982. He's also co-authored five books on local government finance.
