UNT, Collin College trying design process to improve transfers

The University of North Texas and Collin College are partnering to re-think how students transfer from community colleges to universities as part of the Education Design Lab's Seamless Transfer Pathways Design Challenge.

Over the next 15 months, officials from UNT and Collin College will explore how to increase the number of students that transfer from Collin College to UNT, and increase the amount of students who go on to complete their bachelor's degrees.

The two schools make up one of four institutional pairs selected to participate in the challenge, which is funded by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation.

Through the challenge, UNT and NCTC officials hope to create new processes to help students get their bachelor's degrees.
