UNT faculty member's documentary premiering

Carolyn E. Brown, a senior lecturer in the University of North Texas Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism, will have her documentary premiere in Washington, D.C., later this month.

The documentary called "The Salinas Project," looks at the lives of young people whose parents are immigrant farm workers and are thriving despite having uncertain futures. The people range from 18 to 27 years old, and Brown follows them over the course of a year.

The film will be screened at both the Greater Washington Immigration Film Festival and the Mexican Cultural Institute on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
