We're Denton Dammit: Sept. 14, 2017

Last week, we reported here that good-hearted Denton residents Robin Meyer and her husband had taken a big rig to Pasadena to get hay and horse supplies to the Houston area after Harvey. That wasn't correct.  Meyer, the secretary of the Denton Noon Kiwanis Club, and her husband packed up hay, assorted horse and pet supplies, and took the cargo to the Kiwanis Club in Conroe.

Tuesday night, Denton activist Kat Ralph and Denton resident Brandy Pounds gave citizen reports urging the city to host a transgender summit. (See our cover story about this weekend's Pride events. ) Denton does have an LGBT resource, OUTreach Denton .

The quick brown fox leaped onto the roof of the Lomax-Carpenter-Reikofski house in the Denton Historic District. Resident Helen Dewey Reikofski was delighted when a neighbor snapped a picture of the fox on the stately Victorian home on Oak Street.
