Spring means a fresh crop of art and a weekend get-together for A Creative Art Studio, a downtown Denton gallery.
The spring show features both new artists and new work by returning artists in painting, photography, sculpture, pottery, jewelry and glass.
The studio will be open from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 227 W. Oak St. Music starts at 5:30 p.m., with performances by jazz duo Drew Zaremba and Brian Ward, both of whom are students in the University of North Texas College of Music jazz studies program. Zaremba plays saxophone and Ward plays bass. Denton band Baloney Moon will also perform at the spring show opening.
Those who visit the studio and gallery are invited to participate in an community art-making project. Artists Crystal Nelson and Kerry Boutell will demonstrate their work during the event.
