The University of North Texas College of Music is playing host to its annual bass camp, with two public performances. Admission is free for both events.
A concert by members of the UNT Bass Camps faculty will be at 7:30 p.m. today in the Recital Hall at the Music Building, at the corner of Avenue C and Chestnut Street. The concert features Gudrun Raschen, Jack Unzicker, Jessica Gilliam-Valls and Carlos Gaviria.
On Friday, ensembles from the camp will perform with Jeff Bradetich, the camp director. Campers from the jazz bass camp will perform with jazz bass camp director Lynn Seaton. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at Winspear Hall in the Murchison Performing Arts Center, on the north side of Interstate 35E at North Texas Boulevard.
