It is the last chance to register for upcoming sessions of summer camps: a half-day camp for ages 3 to 5; full-day camps for ages 3 1/2 to 12; tennis camps for ages 4 and older; mini skateboard camp for ages 5 to 7; Kamp Movie Makers for ages 7 to 14; Aquatic Explorer Camp for ages 7 to 14; and teen camps for ages 11 to 15. Register by Friday for Guard Start, an introductory lifeguard course for ages 11 to 14, from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. July 9-19 at Civic Center Pool, 321 E. McKinney St. The class is the ideal transition between the learn-to-swim program and the lifeguard certification course. Cost is $75. n “Ooey, Gooey Arts & Crafts: Play Dough” for ages 5 to 9, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday

n “Preschool Drawing” for ages 3 to 6, from 2 to 2:45 p.m. on Mondays, July 16 through Aug. 13

n “Elementary Drawing” for ages 6 1/2 to 12, from 3 to 4 p.m. on Mondays, July 16 through Aug. 13

n “Elementary Cartooning” for ages 7 to 13, from 4:10 to 5:10 p.m. on Mondays, July 16 through Aug. 13

Youths ages 10 to 17 can learn necessary skills to care for infants and children in Cross’ Lifeline’s “Child Care and Babysitting” course from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 14, at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. The course will cover diapering, feeding, CPR and first aid. The $58 fee includes a workbook and a completion card. Register by calling 940-349-8287.

Reserve your seat now for “Predators From the Sky,” a free presentation from 9 to 11 a.m. July 14 at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center, 3310 Collins Road. The program will demonstrate their capabilities of birds of different species and sizes. Advance registration is required; call 940-349-8285.
