Frank Buck Zoo’s popular Critterman will present “Texas Tails” from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. The presentation will feature native creatures in a show-and-tell format, incorporating fun stories and skits and lots of audience participation. Youths ages 11 to 15 can enjoy an upcoming kayaking excursion or a four-day trip to Possum Kingdom Lake, about 90 miles west of Fort Worth.
On July 25, teens can paddle sit-on-top kayaks up Elm Fork to the confluence at Clear Creek Natural Heritage Center, at 3310 Collins Road.
On Aug. 6-10, teens can experience traditional camping at Camp Grady Spruce on Possum Kingdom Lake for horseback riding, archery, boating, swimming and more.
