Paul McCartney, left, George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Starr hoot and holler from the roof of a coach bus in Magical Mystery Tour. The Beatles film was first broadcast on Boxing Day in 1967 — in black and white. Now, a handful of theaters are screening a restored print of the movie, which captures the Fab Four on a surreal version of the British tradition of a coach trip to the seaside. The film, which includes music from the iconic album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, was conceived and directed by the band. Television critics panned Magical Mystery Tour, which was consequently not broadcast in the U.S., but it’s been fully restored with a 5.1 soundtrack. The closest screening for Denton County Beatles fans is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cinemark Alliance, 9228 Sage Meadow Trail in Fort Worth. For tickets, visit .
