Water park lifeguard certification classes will be offered at the Denton Natatorium. The American Red Cross certifies participants in lifeguard training, water park lifeguard training, first aid, blood-borne pathogen training, oxygen administration, and CPR for the professional rescuer. Salsa dance classes for new and experienced dancers begin April 3 at Denia Recreation Center, 1001 Parvin St. “Salsa I” for beginners is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, and “Salsa II” for intermediate students is offered from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Ease into running with “Couch to 5K.” This program is designed with a gentle introduction to get the body moving from walking to running a 5K in six weeks. Learn the fundamentals of international-style archery on a legal range with an instructor certified by the National Archery in the Schools Program.
