Water park lifeguard certification class at the Denton Natatorium. The American Red Cross certifies participants in lifeguard training, water park lifeguard training, first aid, bloodborn pathogen training, oxygen administration, and CPR for the professional rescuer. Salsa dance classes for new and experienced dancers begin April 3 at Denia Rec Center, 1001 Parvin St. “Salsa I” for beginners is from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and “Salsa II” for intermediate students is offered from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Ease into running with “Couch to 5K.” This program is designed with a gentle introduction to get the body moving from walking to running a 5K in just six weeks.
