Oct. 18-27 — Music Theatre of Denton presents Young Frankenstein at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Hickory St. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18-19 and Oct. 24-26; and 2 p.m. Oct. 20 and 27. 7 a.m. Oct. 26 — Jack-O’-Lantern Jog, a 5K run and 1-mile walk, at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. Event is stroller friendly. Participants will run on both grass and well-established paths. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and race starts at 8 a.m. Cost is $15 per runner. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 26 — Denton’s Day of the Dead on East Hickory Street, between Austin and Industrial streets. Free street festival includes vendors, pumpkin patch, bands, coffin races at noon and costume parade at twilight.
