Zumba classes are offered at both Denia and Martin Luther King Jr. recreation centers for ages 15 and older. The first class is free. After the first class, classes cost $5 each, or $30 for 10. Classes are from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Denia, 1001 Parvin St.; and at the King center, 1300 Wilson St., from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Denton’s Mud Volleyball Tournament starts at 9 a.m. Saturday at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. The tournament involves six-on-six double-elimination battles. The top three teams will receive medals. Teams may have a maximum of 10 players, but at least two female players must be on the court at all times. Registration costs $130 per team. The Rockin’ Lock-In for kids ages 5-12 is May 23-24 at the Denton Civic Center, 321 E. McKinney St. Kids will enjoy games, scavenger hunts, a movie on a giant screen and more. Boys and girls will sleep in separate areas and will be supervised the entire night. Drop-off is at 7 p.m. Friday night and pickup is at 8 a.m. Saturday. Cost is $15. Little Hoopers is a coed basketball league for ages 10-13 that teaches teamwork and sportsmanship. Registration ends Friday. Practices are from 6 to 8 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, May 26-June 27, at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, 1300 Wilson St. Cost is $35 per player or $175 per team. Late registration for the adult softball league ends Friday, and games begin the week of June 9. The league includes eight games, including playoffs. Run your first 5K in just six weeks with the Couch to 5K training program at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. The next session begins May 27 and meets from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Registration fee of $40 includes payment for the Liberty Run 5K on July Fourth and a T-shirt. Youths 6 and older can swim on the Denton Dolphins Swim Team, beginning May 27. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards continuously. New participants will try out May 20-22 — parents can call 940-349-7275 to schedule a time. A meeting for parents of interested swimmers will be at 7 p.m. today at the Denton Natatorium, 2400 Long Road. Cost is $155. Dogs and handlers 12 and older can join “Intro to Nosework,” a class at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. It is based on the principles of drug and explosives detection and modified into a sport. The class is suitable for any dog, regardless of age, breed or physical impairments. Cost is $80 per person. Learn basic computer skills in a class for ages 12 and older on May 26-28 at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, 1300 Wilson St. The course will teach Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs. Pee Wee Sports for ages 3 1/2 to 4 includes a Sports Sampler class that teaches kids about soccer, T-ball and basketball. Parents are encouraged to stay and participate. The class is from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays, May 31 through July 12, at North Lakes Recreation Center, 2001 W. Windsor Drive. Cost is $35. Register online or call 940-349-7275.

Summer camp registration is now open. There are all-day options for ages 3 1/2 to 15 at four Denton Parks & Recreation locations around town.
