Denton Community Theatre opens its 2012-13 season with George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion. Buster Maloney, left, plays professor Henry Higgins, a man who tries to train a Cockney flower salesgirl, Eliza Doolittle, into a lady of society.

Amber Bryant, center, plays Mrs. Higgins and Johnny Williams plays Col. Pickering in the witty and triumphant story of a girl who becomes a woman all her own. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, this weekend and Sept. 21-22, with matinees at 2 p.m. this Sunday and Sept. 23, at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Hickory St. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $18 for seniors ages 62 and older, and $10 for children and students who show a valid school ID.
