Award-winning violinist to join Lewisville symphony in concert

South Korean violinist Kyung Ah Oh will perform with the Lewisville Lake Symphony at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, at the Medical City Lewisville Grand Theatre, 100 N. Charles St.

Oh won the 2017 Lewisville Lake Symphony International Competition for Strings and Harp. She will perform Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2 with the symphony. 

Oh is a rising star in classical music. She earned first prize in the 2016 New York Artists International Competition, which resulted in her Carnegie Hall debut recital. She begins studies for her  master's degree at the Yale University School of Music this fall. 

The symphony, based in Lewisville, has a partnership with the University of North Texas.
