Local studio offers art classes for youths

A Creative Art Studio offers art classes for children and teens this month. The studio is located at 227 W. Oak St., Suite 101.

Two-hour workshops for children and teens cost $22 each and include all supplies:

- “Bracelet Shrink,” 10 a.m. to noon Thursday. Children ages 8 to 13 will create a bracelet.

- “Woven Bag,” 10 a.m. to noon July 18. Children ages 8 to 3 will use yarn and a loom to make a bag.

- “Drawing for Teens,” 10 to 11:30 a.m. July 20 and 27. Teens ages 13 to 18 will learn basic drawing techniques.

- “Painting for Teens,” 10 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 1. Teens ages 13 to 18 will learn basic painting techniques

“Young Art Explorers” is offered from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Preschoolers attend with an adult. Cost is $15 per session. Barbara Halbert instructs.

Children’s art classes for ages 6 to 8 are from 4 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays, and for ages 9 to 13, from 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Students experiment with drawing, painting, fibers and more. Cost is $15 per session. Enrollment is limited. Robin Huttash instructs.
