Christie A. Wood, owner of Art Glass Ensembles in Denton, will have stained-glass art in “An Unexpected Art Show” in Los Angeles on Feb. 22. The show is part of the buildup to the Academy Awards.
Art Glass Ensembles was contacted by TheOneRing.net, a fan-based website devoted to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, and associated with The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films.
TheOneRing.net asked Wood to make new, one-of-a-kind stained-glass art for the exhibit of artwork based on Tolkien’s fantasy novels.
Wood made six unique stained glass panels for the show, based on photographs of the Hobbit movie set tour she took in New Zealand.
