TWU to open graduate student art studios

The graduate program of the Texas Woman’s University Department of Visual Arts will open its studios on Tuesday to show students’ works.

The studios will be stocked with pieces from the ceramics, graphic design, painting, photography and sculpture programs. Studios will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be available.

The art studios for the programs are located in the TWU Art Building, on the corner of Oakland and Third Street, and at the TWU Patio Building, 1330 Oakland St. Maps are available online at www.twu.edu/maps.asp.

 

Farmers & Merchants Gallery to open exhibit

Farmers & Merchants Gallery in Pilot Point will open an exhibit of recent work on April 21.

The show will feature work by Jean Adas, Hector Bernal, Diana Goudy, Lin Hampton, Tallie Moore, Marty Ray, David Schulz and Cecy Turner.

The exhibit runs through June 30. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, or by appointment.

The gallery is in the historic Farmers & Merchants Bank, 100 N. Washington St., on Pilot Point’s downtown square.
