James Wood AutoPark continues its winning ways in earning Best of Denton honors for best auto dealership for both new and pre-owned vehicles.

“We’re proud to have it. We’ve always been involved in the community and I think the community appreciates that,” said Russ Ellis, general manager for Chevrolet Cadillac.

Ellis said the dealership carries good inventory for both new and used vehicles and customers appreciate that and the way business is done there.

“It’s not your normal experience,” he said. “We always put the customer first. A lot of people dread going to buy a car. (Here), it’s just a different atmosphere.”

Tommy Drisdale said he operates his shop, Tommy’s Hi Tech Auto, by treating customers like family.

That attitude has led to another Best of Denton win for auto service and repair.

“Most of our customers we have known forever,” Drisdale said. “They tell their friends and family. We’re on second-generation vehicles for people.”

Drisdale said when customers come in with a problem he tells them one thing.

“We will take care of it,” he said. “And I tell all my mechanics, ‘Just do the right thing.’ What drives people is we’re going to shoot straight. You can talk to the people and they are going to talk to you straight. That’s been my philosophy forever and it has worked for me.”
