Blotter: Woman reports assault by former boyfriend

A woman reported to Denton police Saturday that her ex-boyfriend entered her house after her birthday party and assaulted her.

The woman told police he accused her of cheating and they began to argue. She said her ex-boyfriend slapped her and punched her, causing her to fall to the floor and pass out, according to the police report.

Around 7 a.m. Sunday, her son woke her up and her ex-boyfriend was gone, she told police, but she thinks he took her cellphone.

 

Other reports

4400 block of Interstate 35 — A man returned to his hotel after a shopping trip and found the tailgate from his pickup had been stolen, according to a Denton police report. He told police it would cost about $600 to replace.

1800 block of Crescent Street — A homeowner reported to Denton police that his mailbox had been stolen. Two other mailboxes in the area had also been taken, according to the police report.

The mailboxes were later recovered in the same block, the report stated.

  • Refresh the page.
