After a long illness, Don Tom Rainey passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012. He was born April 21, 1933 to Buell and Nena Rainey in Krum, Texas.

After serving 2 years in the Army, he worked as a contractor for the Air Force. He traveled the world, working in Japan, Germany and Puerto Rico and all over the United States. He returned to Denton in 1966 and met his wife Janet and they were married in 1968. He was the owner for many years of a used car business on Dallas Drive. Always the salesman, he loved to wheel and deal.

He is survived by his wife Janet, daughter Kristal Narayan, grandson Kolton, brother Ralph Rainey of McKinney, and cousins, Betty Stone and Judy Miller of Denton.

Dalton Funeral Home is handling arrangements. It was his wish to be cremated and at his request no services will be held.

His love was great

His heart was kind

Always in our thoughts

And forever in our hearts

The family would like to thank Ann’s Haven Hospice Care for all the kindness and care given to Don and to us. We would especially like to thank Barb and Johnnie.
