The public is invited to learn how to establish cool-season food plots for deer and turkeys from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Rancho De La Roca, 2459 Blackjack Road West in Aubrey.
Food plots can increase the value of hunting leases, make the wild game more visible for viewing opportunities and improve the diet quality of the animals, according to a press release from the Denton County office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
Billy Higginbotham, a professor and Extension Wildlife and Fisheries specialist, will discuss the best ways of establishing food plots and tips to improve your habitat management.
The class is free and dinner will be provided with registration. To register, call 940-349-2894.
