Mesquite youth group to perform 'Godspell' at Denton church

A music group from a Mesquite Methodist church will perform Godspell at 6:30 p.m. April 30 at Faith United Methodist Church, 6060 Teasley Lane.

Elation, a music group from St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Mesquite,  will appear at Faith United Methodist Church to perform the musical.  Elation is a 30-voice group of youth ages 12 to 18.

Godspell is a musical re-telling of the story of Jesus' ministry, teaching and crucifixion. While the musical doesn't include an obvious resurrection scene, many companies include one at the end.

 Admission is free.
