Schertz-Hansen

Ashlee Gwin Schertz of Houston, Texas, and David Kyle Hansen, also of Houston, were united in marriage on July 25, 2015, at The Milestone in Aubrey, Texas. John Payne, Preacher of Sanger Church of Christ officiated. The reception was held after the wedding at the Milestone.

The bride is the daughter of Kerry Lee and Cheryl Schertz of Sanger, Texas. She is the granddaughter of LaVerne Schertz, and the late Hubert Schertz of Sanger, Texas, and the late Lloyd and Myrtle Gwin of Denton, Texas.

The groom is the son of Brad and Charlene Hansen of The Woodlands, Texas. He is the grandson of Doris Hansen and the late John Hansen of Dallas, Texas, and the late Charles and Mary Jo Darcey of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The bride was attended by Brittany Short, as matron of honor, and Blaire Woodall, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Stacy Adkins, Elizabeth Hutt, Carolynn Garcia, Penny McClendon, Rachel McGee, Brianna Orosco, and Bethany Wildenstein.

The groom was attended by Ben Hansen, brother of the groom, as best man, Robert Bardo, Jeff Cook, Kevin Reuter, and Dusty Schertz, brother of the bride. Ushers were John Gerrish, Michael Gerrish, Chance Hansen, cousin of the groom, Koby Short, and Mark Urey.

Ashlee and David both graduated from Texas Tech University where they received their Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Energy Commerce. Ashlee is employed with ConocoPhillips in Houston, Texas. David is employed with Noble Energy in Houston, Texas.

After a honeymoon trip in Antigua, the couple will continue to reside in Houston, Texas.
