Jim and Dottie Dowling of Nacogdoches, TX will celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary on March 18, 2011 with a private party hosted by their son.
The couple married in Oklahoma City, OK on March 11, 1961.
Mr. Dowling is a physician employed by Stephen F. Austin State University Health Center. He retired from a private pediatric practice in Denton in 1997.Mrs. Dowling is the former Dorothy Mathews of Abilene, TX. She is a retired registered dietician. The couple lived in Denton for 32 years before relocating to Nacogdoches, TX in 1998.
The couple has three children; son, Mike, and wife Deanna of Plano, TX, son, Steve, and wife Rhonda of Denton, TX and son, Chris, also of Denton. In addition, they have five grandchildren.
