James (Jim) and Susan McClanahan of Denton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, having been married March 25, 1961, in San Angelo, TX.
Jim retired from FEMA with 38 years of government service and currently owns Affinity Travel Agency. Susan retired from Henry Shoopman State Farm Insurance Agency. Both are active members of First Baptist Church.
The couple has two children who recently hosted a dinner for them: their daughter, Carol Moore and her husband Scot; and their son, Steve and his wife Michelle. They are also blessed to have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.They look forward to celebrating this special anniversary with all their family in Maui, HI.
