Slick and Louise Smith celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary on the same day that he celebrated his 87th birthday.
The couple married on March 28, 1952 in the old Calvary Baptist Church on North Elm, Denton.
Slick is the owner of Flags & Poles Custom Made Flags. Louise is retired from Sears.
The couple have three daughters and one son, who has passed away.
Slick and Louise are members of Central Baptist Church on Carroll Blvd, where Slick is a Deacon.
Slick has stated that he loves Louise more today than he did the day they married.
