Jud and Pat Sherman of Argyle, Texas are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter Julia Elizabeth (Libby) Sherman to Adam John Claycomb, both of Arlington, Texas. They were married on May 26, 2012 at the Buffalo Valley Event Center in Denton, Texas. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Dr. Fred Cassell of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Denton, Texas. The reception followed at the venue as well.
Libby’s grandparents are Julia Davis of Denton, Texas, the late Charles N. Davis, Jr., and the late Robert and Elizabeth Sherman. She graduated from Denton High School and is a 2010 graduate of Oklahoma City University.Libby currently works as a Customer Solutions Coordinator for AVMG located in Richardson, Texas.
Adam is the son of Christine and Leo Bogee of Honolulu, Hawaii and Doug and Carole Claycomb of Keller, Texas. His grandparents are Betty Shank and Dorothy Williford of New Paris, Pennsylvania and the late Terry Shank and Orlo Claycomb.He graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School in New Paris, Pennsylvania and is currently a Civil Engineering major at The University of Texas at Arlington. He also works for D&S Engineering in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Tracy Carvalho, sister of the bride, was the Matron of Honor and Molly Ragle was the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Rachel Moree, cousin of the bride, Jessi Settles, Emiley Carter, Whitney Hennen and Marcie Sherman, sister-in-law and honorary bridesmaid. The flower girls were Maya Walter, niece of the groom and Emma Carvalho, niece of the bride and honorary flower girl.
Doug Claycomb, brother of the groom, was the Best Man. Groomsmen included Danny Honeycutt, Jared Walter, stepbrother of the groom, Adam Settles, Trent Taylor, and Andre Bogee, brother of the groom. The ushers were Nathan Sherman, brother of the bride, Claudio Carvalho, Jr., brother-in-law of the bride, and BJ Locey.Owen and Caleb Sherman, both nephews of the bride, were the ring bearers.
The house party hostesses included Joanna Cawthon, Annie Burke, Piper Davis, cousin of the bride, and Christy Hansel, cousin of the bride.
The newlyweds planned a honeymoon in Barbados and will reside in Arlington, Texas upon return.
