5 to 9 p.m. — Alternative Gifts Fair at First United Methodist Church, 201 S. Locust St. Admission is $5 for “First Pick Friday.” Gift sales support missions, both local and global. Featured items include textiles, jewelry, ceramics, basketry, stationery, woodworking, watercolors, nativities, stained glass, stepping stones, crosses, photography, food items, books, toys and more. 2 to 3 p.m. — “Celebration of Life” service hosted by Ann’s Haven VNA to honor the memory of loved ones, in the Cole Chapel of First United Methodist Church of Denton, 201 S. Locust St. Attendees of all faiths are welcome. Call 940-349-5900.

 

WEDNESDAY

6 to 8 p.m. — Support group for families of inmates and for ex-offenders at Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Drive. Free meal, free child care and classes offered. Call 940-297-6745.
