TODAY

6 to 8 p.m. — Drive-through live nativity presented by the youth group at Lake Cities United Methodist Church, 300 E. Hundley Drive in Lake Dallas. Free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Lake Cities Spirit of Christmas program. Visit http://lakecitiesumc.org.

7 to 11 p.m. — Shepherd’s Storehouse toy drive at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church parish hall, 925 Charcut St. in Pilot Point. Admission will be one new, unwrapped toy. SATURDAY

7 p.m. — “A Christmas Cantata” presented by the Blessed John Paul II University Parish at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2255 N. Bonnie Brae St. UNT and TWU students will perform. Donations will be accepted for the new Blessed John Paul II Chapel. Call 940-566-0004.

 

SUNDAY

10 a.m. — Worship service concluding the 150th anniversary celebration at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Oak St. The Chancel Choir and mezzo soprano Jessie Hinkle will perform “From Everlasting to Everlasting,” an anthem written by Adam La Spata for the occasion. Sunday school classes will meet at 9 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to paint commemorative tiles.

4 p.m.  — “Celebrate Weihnachten,” a lecture and concert preview presented by the Denton Bach Society, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 703 N. Elm St. Free; donations accepted. Visit www.dentonbach.com.

 

WEDNESDAY

6 to 8 p.m. — Support group for families of inmates and for ex-offenders at Denton Bible Church, 2300 E. University Drive. Call 940-297-6745.
