A man reported to Denton police that while he was doing some construction work on a house in the 2700 block of Moncayo Drive on Friday, the homeowner became angry and threatened him with what appeared to be a gun.
The man told police that he had been hired by the homeowner to put up some drywall in the garage. He said he broke the lower corner of one of the sheets as he was installing it.
The man told the homeowner he could fix the damage, but the homeowner became angry and asked him to leave, the man reported.
The homeowner then began cursing at the man, threw all of his tools onto his trailer and threatened him before going into the house and returning with what appeared to be a gun, the man reported.
The man told police he drove away and that the homeowner didn't point the gun at him.
Officers went to the house, where the homeowner was in the garage and appeared to be trying to work on the drywall, according to the police report.
Officers searched the garage and found a BB gun that would appear to be a real gun from several feet away, according to the report.
The workman told police he didn't want to file charges but wanted the incident on record.

2700 block of Cooper Creek Road - A woman riding her bike Friday helped a teenage girl in distress, according to a Denton police report.
The woman said she helped the girl escape the driver of a pickup, who appeared to be trying to kidnap her, and took her to a nearby house to call police.
The girl told police that the bus drops her off at the corner and her brother usually picks her up from there, but he was running late so she decided to walk home.
The girl reported that as she was walking home a man exited the passenger door of the pickup and told her to stop. She said she then began to run away and the man chased her until the woman intervened.
