Blotter: Man reports theft, mischievous acts

A man reported several items had been stolen from his apartment in the 2200 block of West Oak Street, according to a Denton police report.

He said he had visited his girlfriend Saturday, and upon returning, he noticed the door to his apartment wouldn't open.

The man said he walked around to the back of his apartment and found the window broken, so he climbed through the window. Once inside, he found a metal device locking the door from the inside, according to the report.

He said a game console he checked out from a university along with its controllers and a game were missing as well as $70 from his wallet. The man also said a large bag of dog food had been poured into the toilet bowl, according to the report.

1100 block of West University Drive - An employee of a rental company reported to Denton police Saturday that someone removed approximately 16 gallons of fuel from a rental van.

The van was parked around 3 p.m. Tuesday and hadn't been driven or rented until Saturday, the employee told police.

The approximate value of the fuel taken is $56, according to the police report.
