Blotter: Musical instruments reported stolen from residence

Several musical instruments were reported stolen from a residence Saturday afternoon in the 2400 block of Foxcroft Circle, according to a Denton police report.

The victim told police that she and her family were in the process of moving out of their home and, at some point, someone entered the residence and took the items, according to the report.

The victim learned that two of the missing items were sold to a local music store, and police officers were able to recover those items.

1300 block of Angelina Bend Drive — An officer called for backup in reference to a domestic disturbance involving two men who were fighting inside a residence, according to a police report.

According to the report, one of the men was intoxicated and fighting with his brother Saturday morning.

The intoxicated brother left the location in a black Chevrolet Silverado, and during a traffic stop he was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

A baggie of powdered cocaine was located in the driver’s pocket and he was charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and assault-family violence causing bodily injury, according to the police report.

100 block of Austin Street — A man was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident on the downtown Square early Saturday morning, according to a police report.

After an investigation by police, officers determined the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash, according to the report.

During a search of the suspect subsequent to his arrest, police also found that he was in possession of marijuana.

The man was booked on alcohol and drug charges without further incident, according to the report.
