Blotter: Man reports theft while on the job

An employee of a large warehouse store in the 2800 block of West University Drive told police Thursday that he was a victim of theft while working.

Police said the 51-year-old Denton man reported that someone cut the catalytic converter off of his Toyota van while he was at work inside the store.

An offense report was completed.

Other reports

900 block of Lovebird Lane — A woman reported that someone broke out the rear window of her 2007 Chevrolet on Thursday morning, according to a Denton County Sheriff’s Office report.

A criminal mischief report for more than $500 and less than $1,500 was made.

3500 block of University Drive — A 22-year-old man was arrested after a warrant hit came back when police ran a check on his license plate.

Police said he was arrested on an old warrant for having no driver’s license, as well as a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

From 7 a.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Friday:

*Denton County sheriff’s dispatchers handled 727 service and officer-initiated calls for the agencies they serve, and 37 people were booked into Denton County Jail.

*Denton firefighters responded to 14 medical calls, one building fire, one unauthorized burning and assisted one agency.

Argyle firefighters responded to two medical calls. Argyle police responded to one illegal dumping call, two traffic calls and one welfare concern.

Aubrey firefighters responded to one structure fire and three medical calls. Aubrey police assisted one agency, one motorist and responded to one fireworks complaint and two traffic calls.

Corinth police assisted two agencies, one motorist and responded to one narcotics call, one noise complaint, one ordinance violation, seven suspicious activity calls, two thefts, two reports of loose livestock, 21 traffic calls, one traffic complaint, one welfare concern, three traffic transport incidents and three animal complaints.

Double Oak police assisted one agency and responded to one theft and 11 traffic calls.

Flower Mound firefighters responded to one structure fire and one traffic transport incident.

Hickory Creek police assisted two motorists and responded to 15 traffic calls, one traffic transport incident and one intoxicated person.

Highland Village firefighters responded to one structure fire.

Justin firefighters responded to one medical call and one traffic transport incident. Justin police responded to one forgery/fraud report, one missing person, two traffic calls, one vehicle complaint and assisted one agency.

Krum firefighters responded to one traffic transport incident. Krum police responded to two traffic transport incidents, one suspicious activity call, one prowler call and six traffic transport incidents.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to six medical calls, one traffic transport incident and one structure fire.

Lewisville police made 13 arrests.

Little Elm firefighters responded to two structure fires, two traffic transport incidents, three medical calls and one carbon monoxide alarm. Little Elm police assisted one agency, one motorist and responded to one structure fire, one narcotics call, one ordinance violation, one reckless driver, three suspicious activity calls, one theft call, nine traffic calls, two welfare concerns, three traffic transport incidents and three animal complaints.

Northeast police assisted one agency and responded to 21 traffic calls, one traffic call and one traffic transport incident.

Northlake police assisted one agency and responded to 11 traffic calls.

Oak Point police responded to two disturbance calls, two ordinance violations, one suspicious activity call, four traffic calls, three traffic transport incidents and three traffic complaints.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to one medical call. Pilot Point police assisted one motorist and responded to 10 traffic calls, one traffic complaint and one welfare concern.

Sanger firefighters responded to three medical calls and one vehicle fire. Sanger police assisted one agency and responded to one medical call, one animal complaint, one vehicle fire, six traffic calls, two traffic complaints and one animal complaint.

The Colony firefighters responded to one structure fire.

Trophy Club police responded to one burglary, one criminal mischief report, one narcotics call, two ordinance violations, one suspicious vehicle call, four traffic calls, two traffic complaints and one welfare concern.
