A traffic stop by Denton police at West Eagle Drive and Beatty Street on Thursday night led to three arrests, according to a police report.
The incident began when an officer stopped a vehicle that was traveling without its headlights on after 11 p.m. The officer smelled marijuana, and the driver of the vehicle — a 20-year-old woman — said that her three passengers had been smoking marijuana, the report stated.
A search was conducted, police said, and one passenger was found to be in possession of hydrocodone and methamphetamine, and one was found to be in possession of hydrocodone and cocaine. The third passenger had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
All three passengers were transported and booked into city jail, officials said. The driver was warned and released from police custody.
