Blotter: Police: Man charged after girlfriend reports assault

Police were called out to an apartment complex Wednesday night after reports of an assault were made.

According to reports, Denton police went to an apartment complex in the 1800 block of North Ruddell Street at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Officer Orlando Hinojosa said a 40-year-old woman alleged that her 39-year-old boyfriend slapped her twice and sprained her wrist at their apartment.

She said she drove herself to a Denton hospital for treatment, Hinojosa said.

The boyfriend was charged with assault causing bodily injury family violence and transported to the city jail, records show.

9700 block of Sycamore Street — Denton County sheriff’s officials reported that an air conditioner was taken from a rent home recently.

According to reports, the landlord said the tenants took the air-conditioning unit from the home they were renting Wednesday.

The unit, reports show, is valued at less than $500.

1100 block of Grey Fox Drive — A man reported he was a victim of criminal mischief Saturday morning.

According to Denton County Sheriff’s Office reports, a man was driving after 2:30 a.m. Saturday when he reportedly noticed something wrong with his vehicle. Upon inspection, he learned he had two flat tires.

No suspect information was provided, officials said.

Bartonville police responded to one traffic complaint and assisted one motorist.

Corinth police assisted four agencies and responded to one Child Protective Services referral, one disturbance call, one vehicle fire, three forgery/fraud calls, five suspicious activity calls, 23 traffic calls, one welfare concern, three traffic accidents and four animal complaints and assisted two motorists.

Double Oak police responded to eight traffic calls and one animal complaint.

Hickory Creek police assisted two agencies and one motorist and responded to one noise complaint, one suspicious activity call, 10 traffic calls and two welfare concerns.

Justin firefighters responded to one medical call. Justin police assisted one agency and responded to one suspicious activity call, four traffic calls and one welfare concern.

Krum firefighters responded to two medical calls. Krum police assisted one agency and responded to one medical call, eight traffic calls and one animal complaint.

Lake Cities firefighters responded to one vehicle fire, one traffic accident and four medical calls.

Little Elm firefighters assisted one agency and responded to one smoke investigation and three medical calls. Little Elm police responded to one fireworks complaint, one gunshots heard, one loose livestock call, one medical call, two reckless drivers, four suspicious activity calls, one theft, 25 traffic calls, one traffic accident and two welfare concerns.

Northeast police responded to one animal complaint, one disturbance call, one suspicious activity call, six traffic calls and one animal cruelty report.

Northlake police responded to five traffic calls and one welfare concern.

Oak Point firefighters responded to one assault and one medical call. Oak Point police responded to one robbery, one reckless driver and three traffic calls.

Ponder firefighters responded to two medical calls and one traffic accident.

Pilot Point firefighters responded to one medical call. Pilot Point police assisted one agency and responded to one suspicious activity call and one traffic call.

Sanger firefighters responded to three medical calls and one traffic accident. Sanger police assisted one agency and responded to one criminal mischief call, two disturbance calls, two suspicious activity calls, one theft call, four traffic calls and one traffic accident.

Trophy Club police assisted two agencies and one motorist and responded to one theft and six traffic calls.
