The sound of a shotgun being discharged brought Denton police to a residence in the 1100 block of Teasley Lane on Thursday night.

When officers arrived, they found a 42-year-old man who said he had fired two shots into the ground. The officers then observed drug paraphernalia and marijuana inside the residence, according to a police report.

The man was charged with disorderly conduct/discharging firearm and possession of marijuana and transported to the city jail. His brother, 28, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and also was taken to the city jail, police said.
