TODAY

 

4 to 5 p.m. - Christmas gourd ornaments and homemade Christmas cards workshop for ages 5 and older, presented by the Garden Culture Club, at Emily Fowler Central Library, 502 Oakland St. Free. Call 940-349-8752 or visit www.dentonlibrary.com .

5 to 9 p.m. - Laurel Hill Artists' Holiday Sale, featuring art and handmade items, at 1223 Highland Park Road.

7 to 9 p.m. - Christmas Roundup at Rancho De La Roca, 2459 W. Blackjack Road in Aubrey, features hayrides, a live nativity drama, carols and refreshments. Tickets are $6 in advance or $7 at the gate, $3 for ages 3-10. Call 940-365-7625 or 940-390-9184 or visit www.peaceoftherock.org .

7 to 10 p.m. - SCRAP Denton's holiday fundraiser and party at 215 W. Oak St., featuring a silent auction, raffle, wine, food and local musicians. Call 940-391-7499.

7:30 p.m. - Denton Community Theatre presents Christmas Belles at the Campus Theatre, 214 W. Hickory St. All tickets are $20, available at www.campustheatre.com  or at the box office. For tickets, call 940-382-1915.

 

SATURDAY

 

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - "A Shady Shores Christmas" at Shady Shores Community Center, 101 S. Shady Shores Road. Event includes games, Santa and Mrs. Claus, a cookie decorating contest, storytellers, hayrides, treats and vendors. Donations of food items for the Lake Cities Food Bank and pet food for the animal shelter will be accepted. Visit www.shady-shores.com.

6 p.m. - Sanger's Holiday in the Park at City Park on the Square. Event starts at 6 p.m. with choir performances, tree lighting and other activities, followed by parade at 6:30 p.m. After the parade, children can visit with Santa. Donations of nonperishable food items are requested.

Try clearing your cache:
  • In Firefox, go to Tools / Clear Recent History. Check the "Cache" box and uncheck all other boxes. Click "Clear now."
  • In Internet Explorer, go to Tools / Internet Options. Check the "Delete browsing history on exit" box. Select "OK."

  • If you are using Internet Explorer 8, make sure InPrivate Filtering is turned off and InPrivate Filtering data has been cleared. To turn off InPrivate Filtering go to Tools / InPrivate Filtering Settings, select the "off" button and click "OK".
To clear InPrivate Filtering data
  • Go to Tools / Internet Options.
  • Click the "Delete" button under “Browsing history” on the General tab.
  • Make sure "Preserve Favorites website data" is unchecked.
  • Make sure "InPrivate Filtering data" is checked.
  • Click the "Delete" button.
  • Click the "OK" button to exit the Internet Options window.
  • Refresh the page.
