5 p.m. — Hoops for the Hungry, a basketball game between the Hungry Dunkers (local civic leaders and business executives) and the Harlem Ambassadors, benefiting Our Daily Bread soup kitchen. 8 p.m. — Janacek Festival and Conference: University Singers, A Cappella Choir and UNT Opera with chamber orchestra present Janacek’s Zapisnik zmizeleho (The Diary of One Who Disappeared), Otce nas (The Lord’s Prayer) and other works. In Winspear Hall at the Murchison Performing Arts Center, on the north side of I-35E at North Texas Boulevard. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors.
