3 p.m. — Denton Community Band and the Heritage Brass Band of Dallas perform in a joint concert at the Denton Civic Center, 321 E. McKinney St. Free.

4 to 8 p.m. — Fundraiser for Paul Cargile, who was paralyzed in an accident, at the North Texas Fairgrounds, 2217 N. Carroll Blvd. Entry fee, which includes a barbecue dinner, is $20 for adults, free for children younger than 12. Event includes raffles, a live auction, a live band, bounce house and face painting.
